I’ve been running across a lot of photos that were taken during the summertime at ski resorts and the name Marguerite Baker Johnson kept coming up for some of them. Johnson was from Belgium but most of her work that I’ve seen was shot in mid-century America. She shot for Life Magazine, New York Times and others in the ’50s and ’60s. These summer ski resort photos don’t seem to be from a magazine assignment, they span over too many years, yet I’m not certain either whether they were some kind of personal project. Here’s the first one I posted, it’s from Sun Valley, Idaho as this one is.
